St. Patrick
is the patron saint of Ireland. He was a real person. He lived from 385 to the year 461. There are many stories and legends about St. Patrick. We celebrate it on 17th March. It is a national holiday in Ireland. There are lots of parades. Many
people wear green clothes. Many people also wear a shamrock, which is an emblem
of Ireland. A shamrock is easy to identify because it has got three leaves on
every stem.
At school, we read
some readings about this celebration, we
decorated our corridors and we ate two golden chocolate coins.
