CHRISTMAS

At Christmas time, you can see a very tall Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square in London. The tree is a present from the people of Norway. Many people in the UK have got  Christmas trees at home. They decorate them with tinsel, baubles and Christmas lights. They put presents and cards under the tree. They put a star or a angel on the top.
Children hang up stockings for Santa to fill on Cristmas Eve, and leave food and water for his reindeer. Families get together and give each other presents. They also have a traditional lunch of roast turkey on Christmas Day.




At school, we celebrated Christmas doing different activities: learning Christmas vocabulary, decorating our classrooms and corridors, colouring some pictures, doing different Christmas activities, singing Christmas carols,…
