PANCAKE DAY

The date of Pancake Day changes every year, but it is always a Tuesday. It is always 47 days before Easter Sunday. Pancake Day isn´t a national holiday, but many people make and eat pancakes on this day. They eat them with sugar and lemon, or cheese and ham, or chocolate. There are many different pancakes fillings. One of the funniest traditions on Pancake Day is the pancake race.


We made pancakes at the school canteen.

Ingredients:

200g. of flour
2 eggs
1 glass of milk
3 teaspoons of baking powder
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of oil
1/2 teaspoon of salt

Instructions: 

First of all, mix the flour, the salt, the sugar and the baking powder.
Then, beat the eggs in a big bowl. Add the oil, the milk and the mixture of the flour. Mix quickly.
Next, pour the mixture in a jar.
Last of all, pour a tablespoon of the mixture on a greased hot grill. Toss them!

Serving suggestion:

Serve with cream, syrup,...

We made them, toss them, caught them and ate them!!!. They were delicious! We ate them with cream; maple syrup , chocolate  or strawberry syrup. We had a very good time!
